Halloween Bowl DIY! Easy Pumpkin Candy Bowl!

DIY Pumpkin Candy Bowl!
Halloween 2016

Happy Halloween! For this Halloween I wanted to do something a little bit more unique when handing out my candy. So I decided on making a real pumpkin candy bowl. I got this idea originally at Target while looking for Halloween candy, then I found out it had already been down by many bloggers. The directions & ingredients are what I used to make my own bowl, they are not from another blogger's website. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

- Real or faux pumpkin, preferably tall
- Knife or pumpkin tools
- Scooper or spoon
- Saran wrap
- Bowl
- Spray paint (optional)

Directions:

1. Start off by drawing a circle around your pumpkin using a pencil, make your marks heavy and dark. Make sure the lines are straight and even, you don't want a lopsided bowl!

2. Next trace the pencil line with a thick black sharpie or marker.

3. Using a knife or pumpkin carver, cut on just below the sharpie line.  Throw away the top half of the pumpkin.

4. Scoop out the inards of the bottom half of the pumpkin. Try to get as much out as possible.

5. Let the pumpkin dry outside for 1 hour or inside for as long as desired.

6. Cover the inside with clean wrap (aka saran wrap), to protect the candy.

7. If you would like to, take spray paint and spray the exterior of the pumpkin (dark orange part only) the matching color of your Halloween costume or whatever color you'd like to.

8. Lastly insert the bowl of your choice and pour in some delicious candy into your DIY pumpkin bowl!

Happy Halloween!

See you tomorrow!
