Calming Glitter Slime! Recipe #3!

Calming Glitter Slime
Recipe #3

Okay, so I don't really think this is even a recipe but it is a cool craft you can make with a friend or family member! I introduce to you: Calming Glitter Slime! I have only made this twice but it is always a fun experience to mix colors and scents to create the best slime ever! The original website for the recipe is: http://lemonlimeadventures.com/calming-glitter-slime/ . Let's get crafting!

Ingredients:

Liquid starch
Clear Elmer's Glue
Food Coloring
Glitter
Calming Essential Oils
- Lavender
- Macadamia Nut (my favorite)
- Almond
- Joy
- Cedarwood

Directions:

First, mix together 1.5 oz bottle of clear glue and some of your liquid starch. We started with 4 oz in our jar but we slowly mixed it in, to make sure we had the right consistency. Add your glitter and a few drops of food coloring (you can always add more later).
Next stir everything together. If your slime is gooey and stringy, mix in a tad more glue or stir a little more (sometimes it just needs a lot of attention). If your slime is too sticky and solid, add in some more liquid starch. There is no wrong or right way to do this, simply add a little more or less of each.
Now onto the fun sensory step. To really get your slime good and mixed you need to knead it and squeeze it. This is where our recipe went a little off. We kept adding liquid starch which was making the slime less sticky and in turn made our slime very “flubberish”. This is completely a choice. Remember how I said its okay if you don’t have the recipe just like mine.
Finally, once you have the consistency you like, add in just a few drops of calming essential oils. It doesn’t take a lot. We used 3 drops of Peace and Calming (or any other calming oil) and then just started kneading and squeezing the slime again.

See you tomorrow!
